Auxiliary Power Units (APU) & Mobile Storage
Modern armored vehicles and mobile platforms require a large energy bank to support extended operations, long silent watch and missions in remote locations. Epsilor’s Li-Ion rechargeable batteries support these requirements by providing constant and reliable energy. An open-architecture supports a flexible combination of batteries to form a large format auxiliary power unit that can be installed in several available locations in an existing platform, or as a conformal custom designed large format battery in a new vehicle.
This flexible system architecture enables Epsilor to fine tune its solution to any customer requirement, such as high-power source, high-energy source, start-stop regenerative energy bank, renewable, hybrid and peak-shaving energy banks. These various battery types may support vehicles, mobile communication shelters, ground control stations of UAS, etc.
Epsilor’s APU and mobile storage can be delivered in typical voltage ranges of 12V, 24V and 48V, as well as in special voltage ranges, while our multi-layer Battery Management System (BMS) enables communication, monitoring and control of the distributed battery system by vehicle computer through standard CANBUS (J1939, MIL-PRF-32565B) and customized protocols.
